Was Russia right to recognize independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia? Should it have provided military assistance in the course of Georgian-South Ossetian conflict? What should be done with these republics now? And what to do with the remaining "problem regions": Transdniestria and Nagorny Karabakh? These and some other questions weкe addressed by VCIOM Director on communications Olga KAMENCHUK in the course of press-conference, which took place August 4th, 2009 at RIA-Novosti. Dr. Kamenchuk presented results of the study, conducted by VCIOM (prior to 1 year anniversary of the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict).
