January 10-14, Tokyo, Japan. A conference entitled: "Corporate Culture and Social Trust" was conducted at Chuo University, Japan. Dr. Olga Kamenchuk (VCIOM Director on Communications) and Dr. Vladimir Grishin (Director of VCIOM-Ural Regional Office) have presented results of the newest studies carried out by the Center, dedicated to the problems of trust towards socio-political institutions, as well as to rational and irrational aspects of trust in the mentality of Russians. Agreements to further cooperation between VCIOM and Japanese research institutions were reached in the course of the event.
